REAcH Out And LearnREAcH is a project that aims to support people in the NE of Scotland to gain access to a chosen course or qualification by providing a suite of preparatory and access course options. It is aimed at those who have been out of formal education for some time, or may have no formal entry qualifications. This project is for anyone who would like to further their career prospects by taking part in more formal learning but is unsure where or how to start. If you are unemployed (or work less than 16 hours per week) and have been for less than two years, you will be eligible for funding to cover course fees and other costs such as child care and travel. If you do not fit these criteria there may be a nominal fee, but other sources of funding may be available. Study is flexible and to suit individual learner needs, and availability can be offered locally subject to minimum numbers of learners attending. If you would like more information or are interested in joining a REAcH group, please call Pat Edwards on 01224 262040, or email p.edwards@rgu.ac.uk. By shall at 26 Nov 2006 - 12:57pm | 1932 reads
